Kuwait Bahrain International Exchange (KBE) is holding its extraordinary general meeting on Thursday to discuss a voluntary withdrawal from the Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE).

KBE is 80.828% owned by one family, who wants to stop trading on the Kuwaiti bourse, the currency exchange firm earlier noted in a bourse statement.

The KSE seems to be facing a wave of withdrawals as Al Nawadi Holding agreed on Wednesday to exit the bourse, after Pearl of Kuwait Real Estate and Union Real Estate made the same step in January and March respectively.

Furthermore, Kuwait Finance House, Qurain Petrochemical Industries, and Manafae Holding are expected to withdraw from the market in the coming months.
